What am I building?

I decided fairly recently that I am not going to go overseas to live for an extended period of time. I'm finding it hard enough to "establish" myself in Australia here I've lived my entire life, without the culture shock, home-sickness, loneliness, ridiculously high cost of living etc I'd experience in another country. Now the question is, what exactly do I want to establish?
